On our peninsula we have extremely high numbers of kiwi. We also have 500+ residential properties. Many of us are incredibly privileged to be living with kiwi in our back yards.

Kerikeri Peninsula has one of the largest populations of kiwi living around people anywhere in New Zealand. We think that is incredibly special, not to mention all our other native bird species and the cool bugs like weta that are all on the increase along with native lizards: the geckos and skinks.
